Lakshmi Rai who is a former model had appeared in serval advertisements like Bru Coffee, Fair and Lovely, Saravana Stores and lot more. She debuted in Tamil with Karka Kasadara that was directed by R.V. Udhaya Kumar.


She has completed several films in Tamil including Dhaam Dhoom, Muthirai and at present working with Jeevan in Naan Avan Illai-2. She is known not only in Tamil, but also in Kannada and Malayalam. She has recently met one of the biggest directors in Mumbai to discuss regarding her career in Bollywood. She will soon appear in a bollywood romantic comedy flick 'HHey Gujju' and she too wants to taste the success in Bollywood tinsel town after actresses like Asin, Trisha and Genelia.
